More About Matt Speakman
Growing up in New Haven, Connecticut, Matt was a massive fan of the Patriots. Naturally, he also became interested in sports betting and gambling, and he and his buddies would always have a fantasy football league going and attend every Pats game they managed to get tickets to.
He’d often place a friendly bet on the final score or on how many yards Tom Brady would throw, which got him interested in other aspects of gambling, such as its legal side. It was around that time that he developed a passion for writing on this topic and took an internship at the headquarters of one of the biggest US casino brands.
How Matt Speakman Became a Betting Expert at online-gambling.com
Matt’s been a member of the team at online-gambling.com for quite some time now. Having followed sports his whole life, he is approaching expert status on the legality of DFS and sports betting in every state. While his heart still lies with football, he’s learned much about casino games and slots as well.
In addition, he is now a dab hand at blackjack and regularly enjoys a game or two at his favorite online casino. You’ll mostly find him writing about daily fantasy sports, betting, and big games. Occasionally, he also makes instructional pieces on state gambling laws or blackjack rules. You can read some of his articles at the end of this page.
If you’re interested in something specific that we’ve missed covering, and especially if it is something related to sports betting and DFS contests, feel free to get in touch, and he’ll happily assist you. The team is always open to feedback from our readers – after all, we’re doing this to keep you well-informed.
