Reach High Up Gems:

In order to grab the many health gems located in
seemingly unreachable areas -- such as on the 
SS Anubis generators or on beams in the cave 
levels -- shoot them using your pistol or
machine gun. If you hit them correctly, they will
move and slide down to your level.
