Armor plate early in the game:

At the begining,choose a class like warrior 
(never use the paladin). Go at the second 
floor of the building and open the drawer 
near a guy. Steel his cash. Go near the 
stair and a guard will be there. Kill him 
and you'll find plate armor and a good cap.
